₹6,799 Military-Grade Smartphone Launched in India: Itel A100 4G With 5,000mAh Battery

A new option has entered the budget smartphone segment in India: the Itel A100 4G. The phone is already drawing attention for its design, which many say closely resembles the OnePlus 13s.

The company also highlights that the handset carries a MIL-STD-810H claim for toughness, suggesting it’s built to withstand everyday wear and tear.

Itel A100 4G Price and Availability in India

The Itel A100 4G is priced from ₹6,799 for the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. A 4GB RAM version is available for ₹7,499. The device ships in Silk Green, Pure Black and Titanium Gold color options and will be sold through offline retail stores across the country.

As a launch offer, the company is providing one free screen replacement within 100 days — a notable perk at this price point.

Display, Software, and Performance

The phone features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 720 × 1612 pixel resolution. The panel supports a 90Hz refresh rate, has a pixel density of 269 PPI, and offers a 180Hz touch sampling rate for smoother scrolling and touch response.

Under the hood sits the UniSoC T7100 octa-core chipset paired with Itel OS 15, which is based on Android 15. This hardware and software combination is aimed at delivering a smooth daily experience for routine tasks, light gaming, and video calls.

Users get up to 4GB of physical RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage, and the company claims up to 8GB of virtual RAM support to help with multitasking.

Camera and extra features

The rear camera setup is centered on an 8-megapixel sensor with an LED flash, while a 5-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. The configuration is positioned for basic photography needs.

One standout addition for a budget phone is an IR blaster, which lets the handset act as a remote control for TVs, air conditioners and other electronics.

Connectivity, security and special features

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster and a USB Type-C port. For security, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

Itel has also introduced an Ultralink feature, which the company says can enable calling other Itel users even when there’s no network — a capability intended for emergency situations.

Battery and durability

The A100 4G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. On the durability front, the company cites MIL-STD-810H certification and IPX4 splash resistance, aiming to provide extra protection against rough handling and light water splashes.
