Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launching Feb 25: 200MP Ultra, 5,000mAh Battery & Free 60W Charger

After months of anticipation, Samsung has announced the date for its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. The company will unveil its flagship Galaxy S26 series on 25 February 2026 in San Francisco, and the presentation will be livestreamed on Samsung’s newsroom, its official website and the brand’s YouTube channel.

Alongside the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung is expected to reveal several other products. Pre-reserve bookings for the series are already open.

Event time for India and other regions

The event in San Francisco is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM PT — that’s 1:00 PM EST, 6:00 PM GMT, 7:00 PM CET and 11:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).

Pre-reserve booking and offers

Samsung has started pre-reserve bookings for all three Galaxy S26 models. Customers can pre-reserve a phone on Samsung’s website for ₹999. Several posts on X indicate that those who pre-reserve will receive rewards, including a free 60W Samsung charger. Historically the company charged ₹1,999 for pre-reserve bookings; this time the fee has reportedly been reduced to ₹999.

Displays and design

Leaks suggest the Galaxy S26 family will use upgraded displays. The Galaxy S26 is expected to have a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2340 × 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy S26+ may retain a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra could grow to a 6.9-inch screen with a similarly high resolution as before.

Reports also say all three models will be protected with Corning Gorilla Armor 2, and Samsung has refined dimensions and reduced weight — especially for the standard and Plus variants.

Performance and software

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which pairs Qualcomm’s latest Oryon CPU with high clock speeds. All models are expected to launch with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.

Cameras

The camera hardware appears to differ significantly between the standard models and the Ultra. Rumours point to the Galaxy S26 and S26+ sharing a triple-camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to stand apart with a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto offering 5× optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide and an additional 10MP telephoto lens.

All models are expected to have a 12MP front camera and offer AI-based portrait and video enhancement features, plus advanced video recording options including 8K.

Battery and charging

Battery capacities are tipped as follows: the Galaxy S26 with a 4,300mAh battery, the Galaxy S26+ retaining a 4,900mAh cell, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra packing a 5,000mAh battery. The Ultra may also support faster 60W wired charging.

Connectivity and other features

Across the series, Samsung is expected to include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C and stereo speakers. Reports note that Qi2 magnetic support will not be present in these models.

What else to expect

Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy S26 Series will be the headline of the event. The company may also introduce its next-generation Galaxy Watch and new TWS earbuds during the keynote.
