Infinix has launched the Zero 40 5G in India with a starting price of Rs 24,999. It’s a phone made for people who shoot a lot of videos, create reels, and want strong performance without spending flagship-level money.
Instead of pushing gaming as the main highlight, Infinix is clearly targeting vloggers, content creators, and everyday multimedia users with a premium-looking design and AI tools.
A premium design that feels modern
The Infinix Zero 40 5G comes with a sleek, premium design that looks stylish and also feels comfortable in hand. It is just 7.9mm thin and weighs 195g, so it stays light and balanced even during long use.
The Violet Garden colour variant stands out the most. It has a unique two-tone finish on the back along with subtle Zero branding, giving it a classy look without being too flashy.
Bold camera module and useful extras
On the back, the phone features a large circular camera module that gives it a strong identity. It looks different from most mid-range phones and makes the device instantly noticeable.
Infinix has also added features that help in daily life, such as stereo speakers for better sound, an infrared blaster to control home appliances, and an IP54 rating for basic dust and splash protection.
Curved AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate
The Zero 40 5G packs a big 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The screen looks sharp, and the curved edges with slim bezels make it feel more immersive, especially while watching videos.
A key highlight is the 144Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and touch response feel extremely smooth. It also supports 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz modes, so users can balance smoothness and battery life.
Better colours and HD streaming support
With 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut support, the display shows rich and vibrant colours. It’s good for watching content and also helpful for creators who want accurate-looking visuals.
The phone also comes with Widevine L1 certification, so users can stream in HD on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar without quality limits.
AI features made for creators
The smartphone runs Android 14-based XOS 14.5 and offers a modern software experience. There are some pre-installed apps, but most of them can be removed easily if you want a cleaner interface.
This is also the first Infinix device with wider Infinix AI features. It includes AI Eraser for removing unwanted objects in photos, Smart Cut-out to separate subjects from backgrounds, and AI Vlog to create short videos automatically.
AI Vlog and Folax assistant
AI Vlog is designed for quick video creation. It picks clips from the gallery and automatically adds transitions, effects, and music, making it useful for people who don’t want to spend time on manual editing.
The Folax voice assistant also adds basic voice command support. Still, some AI tools need further polishing to match the smoother experience offered by top brands. Infinix has promised two years of major Android updates and three years of security patches.
Dimensity 8200 Ultimate performance
The Infinix Zero 40 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM. Daily performance stays smooth, whether you are multitasking, gaming, or streaming content.
Storage goes up to 512GB with UFS 3.1 support for faster app loading and file transfers. There is also a microSD card slot for expanding storage.
Battery and charging
The phone is mentioned with a large 6600mAh battery for strong all-day backup even with heavy use like recording, streaming, and gaming. It also supports fast charging for quick top-ups.
It is also stated to come with a 6000mAh battery, which can last a full day easily on heavy use and up to two days for normal users. With 68W fast charging, the phone can charge up to 80% in about 30 minutes. Wireless charging support is also available.
Price, variants and launch offer
Infinix has launched the Zero 40 5G in two variants: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. The 256GB model costs Rs 27,999, while the 512GB model is priced at Rs 30,999.
As a launch offer, Infinix is giving an instant discount of Rs 3,000 on select bank cards. With this, the base variant can be bought for Rs 24,999.
