OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max Launched: 200MP Camera, 6500mAh Battery & Wireless Charging

The OPPO Reno 15 series is drawing strong attention in India, with many users waiting to see what the lineup brings next. While the OPPO Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro have already made their way to international markets, OPPO has now added a new top-tier model to the range — the OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max. This is the largest and most premium phone in the series, and it will first go on sale in Taiwan.

The Pro Max arrives with a clear focus on high-end hardware, including a 200MP rear camera, a 50MP selfie camera, a large 6,500mAh battery, and the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor.

Performance and Processor Details

At its core, the OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. This is an octa-core processor built on a 4nm fabrication process, designed to balance performance and efficiency. The chip operates at clock speeds ranging from 2.1GHz up to 3.3GHz.

It is worth noting that the OPPO Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro models launched earlier in China are also powered by the same Dimensity 8450 chipset. This keeps performance consistent across the Reno 15 lineup, even though the Pro Max sits at the top in terms of overall hardware.

Camera Setup: The Main Highlight

Camera hardware is one of the strongest points of the Reno 15 Pro Max. The phone features a triple rear camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). This sensor is designed to handle high-resolution photography while maintaining stability.

Alongside it is a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.8 aperture, offering 3.5x optical zoom. This setup allows for detailed zoom shots without relying entirely on digital cropping.

The rear module is completed by a 50MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 116-degree field of view. On the front, the phone carries a 50MP selfie camera that supports a 100-degree field of view and works with an f/2.0 aperture, making it suitable for wide-angle selfies and video calls.

Display Quality and Build Protection

The OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ flat OLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1272 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, delivers up to 1800 nits of brightness, and offers a pixel density of 450ppi.

An in-display fingerprint sensor is built into the panel, and for durability, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Battery Life and Charging Support

To support its large display and powerful hardware, the Reno 15 Pro Max packs a 6,500mAh battery. For comparison, the Reno 15 Pro also includes a 6,500mAh battery, while the standard Reno 15 comes with a slightly smaller 6,200mAh unit.

Charging options include 80W wired Flash Charge fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, allowing users to top up the battery quickly.

Software, Connectivity, and Durability

The smartphone runs on Android 16-based ColorOS 16.0 in global markets. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and a dedicated X1 chip aimed at improving Wi-Fi performance. The device also supports LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, USB OTG, and carries an IP69 rating for water resistance.

Price, Colors, and India Launch Status

In Taiwan, the OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max is available in a single configuration with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, priced at TWD 24,990, which roughly translates to ₹71,000 in Indian currency. The phone is offered in Twilight Gold and Desert Brown color options.

As of now, there is no confirmed information on whether the Reno 15 Pro Max will launch in India. Until an official announcement is made, its availability in the Indian market remains uncertain.
