Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Coming With 200MP Camera and New Sky Blue Colour — Launch Date Confirmed

Samsung is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, where the company will unveil its flagship Galaxy S26 series. This lineup will include the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is expected to be the most powerful smartphone in the range. The device will feature a 200MP camera, a powerful processor, and a premium display.

If previous launch patterns are anything to go by, Samsung typically unveils its Galaxy S series early in the year. This time as well, the company will introduce three models under the Galaxy S26 series — the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

New Colour Options for Galaxy S26 Ultra

Recent information suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will arrive in new colour variants. According to a report by GSMArena, the phone will be available in four colour options: Black, Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, and White.

Some additional colour variants may also be offered exclusively through Samsung’s online store, continuing the company’s trend of providing online-exclusive finishes.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Display Specifications

The standard Galaxy S26 will feature a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For protection, Samsung has used Corning Gorilla Armor 2.

The Galaxy S26 Plus will come with a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It will also feature Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protection for improved durability.

The flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra will include a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen. Corning Gorilla Armor 2 has been used here as well for screen protection.

Samsung has used the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which was specially customised for Samsung devices. The handset offers up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

Camera Improvements Focus on Better Image Quality

According to media reports, Samsung has worked extensively on improving the camera performance of the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. The company has enhanced noise reduction in the camera system, which is expected to significantly improve image quality.

Samsung’s Galaxy S series is already known for its strong camera performance, and the company continues to refine it every year. In previous models, images captured in low-light conditions sometimes showed visible noise. This issue has now been addressed in the upcoming series.

Apart from noise reduction, Samsung has also made improvements to overall image processing. When users switch the camera to 24MP mode, the phone will capture higher-resolution images. This means image quality will remain sharp even after zooming in.
