Vivo has launched its latest smartphone, the Vivo V50e, in India as promised. The new V50e arrives with a 50MP selfie camera, an ultra-slim quad-curved display and a range of AI features. The phone offers up to 256GB of storage, a large 5600mAh battery and waterproof ratings. Here’s everything you need to know about the affordable Vivo V50e.
Display
The Vivo V50e features a large 6.77-inch (17.2 cm) FHD+ AMOLED curved display that renders videos and images vividly. The screen supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1800 nits of peak brightness, with a pixel density of 388 ppi. The display delivers vibrant colour and sharp visuals, and the handset includes HDR10+ support and Widevine L1 certification.
Design
Vivo has given the V50e an attractive, premium look. It is available in two colours — Pearl White and Sapphire Blue — and the handset weighs about 186 grams. At just 7.6 mm thick, it’s thinner than many phones on the market. The curved sides make the phone comfortable to hold, and the device carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Camera
The phone has a dual rear camera setup with a flash. The rear system pairs a 50MP primary camera with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a Sony IMX882 OIS sensor. For selfie lovers, the front camera is a 50MP shooter designed for group selfies and portrait shots. The V50e also includes several AI camera features such as Object Remover, Translation, Circle to Search, Transcription and Image Expander.
Battery and charging
The Vivo V50e packs a large 5600mAh battery and supports 90W fast charging via a USB Type-C cable. Vivo claims the battery can go from 0% to 50% in just 20 minutes, and reach a full 100% charge in a maximum of 43 minutes.
Processor
Under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G chipset. The device is described with a 2.5 GHz octa-core and a 2 GHz quad-core configuration that can be virtually boosted. The handset’s AnTuTu score is listed as 6,88,905 लाख-plus.
Software and storage
This is described as a first-generation India phone running operating system 15v. The Vivo V50e ships with three years of OS updates and four years of security updates. In India it is available in two memory configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.
Connectivity and extras
The phone includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C audio and stereo speakers. Google Gemini Assistant comes pre-installed on the handset.
Price in India
The Vivo V50e is priced at ₹28,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and ₹30,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. A 10% discount is available on HDFC and SBI bank cards, and the phone can be purchased on 6-month no-cost EMIs. Customers can get an exchange discount of up to ₹27,549 depending on the old phone’s model and condition. The V50e will be sold online on Amazon, Flipkart and other shopping apps, and offline at Vivo stores.
