Vivo V70 and V70 Elite Launched in India

Vivo has expanded its premium V-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo V70 and the new Vivo V70 Elite. The two phones bring clear hardware differences, with the Elite model powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and the standard version using the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

Both devices focus on delivering flagship-grade features such as a Zeiss-tuned triple camera system, a large 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and a bright AMOLED display. They also run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, along with a long-term software support promise.

Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite price in India

The Vivo V70 Elite is priced at:

  • ₹51,999 for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage
  • ₹56,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage
  • ₹61,999 for 12GB RAM and 512GB storage

The Vivo V70 is priced at:

  • ₹45,999 for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage
  • ₹49,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage

Vivo is offering up to 10 percent cashback on SBI, HDFC Bank, and Yes Bank cards. Sales will begin on February 10 via Flipkart and the Vivo online store.

In terms of colours, the Vivo V70 Elite is available in Authentic Black, Passion Red, and Sand Beige. The Vivo V70 comes in Lemon Yellow and Passion Red options.

Display and design

Both smartphones feature a 6.59-inch VM9 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260×2750 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, and P3 wide colour gamut.

The phones come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, which means they are protected against dust and water.

Vivo has kept the design slim, with a thickness of 7.59mm and a weight of around 194 grams. The overall build focuses on a premium and lightweight feel.

Processor and performance

The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor with clock speeds of up to 3GHz. It comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, designed to deliver fast and smooth performance.

The standard Vivo V70 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which has a clock speed of up to 2.8GHz. It offers 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Both phones run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo has also promised six years of security updates for the devices.

Camera features

The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite feature a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera setup. This includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, a 50MP super telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

For selfies and video calls, both phones offer a 50MP front camera. The devices also support 4K video recording, allowing users to capture high-quality photos and videos.

Battery and charging

Both smartphones pack a 6,500mAh battery, which is designed to provide long usage on a single charge. They also support 90W wired fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge quickly.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, NFC, USB Type-C, GPS, and NavIC. The Vivo V70 Elite comes with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster. The standard Vivo V70 does not include an IR blaster and instead offers a gyroscope sensor.
