Samsung may launch its next flagship Galaxy S26 Series by the end of next month. Ahead of the official debut, major details about its pricing have surfaced through a report shared by the Winfuture website. According to the report, the prices of the Galaxy S26 series models could increase compared to the previous Galaxy S25 lineup. The main reason behind this hike is said to be rising component costs.
Pricing changes expected across the Galaxy S26 series
The biggest shift could be seen in the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The report suggests that Samsung may keep the starting price of its top-end flagship lower. The 256GB and 512GB variants of the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be cheaper than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, the 1TB variant is expected to remain priced the same as last year.
Samsung may also completely discontinue the 128GB storage option this time. The Galaxy S26 series could start with 256GB as the base storage model. In Sweden, the Galaxy S26 256GB variant has been listed at 11,990 SEK (around Rs 1,24,709). This is about €95 more than the equivalent storage variant of the Galaxy S25. Meanwhile, the 512GB model is expected to be priced at 13,990 SEK (around Rs 1,45,398), which is roughly €190 higher than the base version.
Galaxy S26+ storage upgrades may become costly
The Galaxy S26+ could follow a slightly different pricing pattern. As per the report, the 256GB variant may launch at 14,490 SEK (around Rs 1,50,616), which could be similar to the price of the Galaxy S25+. However, the 512GB storage option could rise to 16,990 SEK (around Rs 1,76,588). This reflects an increase of more than €230 compared to last year, making storage upgrades significantly more expensive this time.
Galaxy S26 Ultra may see surprising price adjustments
The most unexpected changes may arrive with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The report claims that the 256GB version could be priced at 16,990 SEK (around Rs 1,76,588), which is lower than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The 512GB variant is also expected to drop to 18,990 SEK (around Rs 1,97,376). Meanwhile, the 1TB model could remain steady at 22,490 SEK (around Rs 2,33,744).
Samsung may end free storage upgrade offers
It is also being reported that Samsung could stop offering free storage upgrade deals during pre-orders. Due to rising memory costs, the company may move away from such promotions to maintain better control over pricing. This could mean buyers will need to pay the full difference for higher storage variants.
Expected features of the Galaxy S26 series
In terms of features, major changes are not expected across the Galaxy S26 lineup. The Galaxy S26 may come with a 6.3-inch M14 AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy S26+ could feature a larger 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED panel.
Both phones are likely to retain IP68 water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, Qi2 wireless charging, and a camera setup similar to the Galaxy S25 series. For performance, the Galaxy S26 lineup could use either the Exynos 2600 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, depending on the market.
Possible launch timeline
As per earlier reports, Samsung may launch the Galaxy S26 series on 25 February 2026. However, official confirmation is still awaited from the brand. If you are planning to buy a powerful Samsung flagship in the coming months, waiting for the Galaxy S26 series could be a good option.
